Voting Process and InformationDefinite 'yes'? Disastrous 'no?
Everyone's a critic.
And now MovieHatch is giving you the opportunity to have your say. Filmmakers from around the world posted their pitch for a feature film or television show on our site. And we want you to have a say in which ones are moved forward.
It is a chance for you, the audience and "Public Producer", to have your voice heard. You can help decide what to see before it even gets made!
It's free. And it's easy.
Simply watch the videos posted on the site and let us know how much you like it. Just click on the 'vote' bar underneath it. You can choose from a scale of one to five stars. Here is what they mean:
1. Wouldn't pay to see it.
2) Only if nothing else is on.
3) Yeah, OK. I'd watch it.
4) Ooooh. Aaaah!
5) Freaking amazing!
The first time you vote, or rate a pitch, we will ask you to register on the site. You only need to include a username and password... just to keep everyone above board... This registration is free but also has the benefit of providing you with a profile page and access to all areas of the website (see Member Benefits for more details). Then you can evaluate as many pitches as you choose. But only one rating per video - we want to keep the competition fair and clean.
Once you have helped narrow down the options to just a few, we will bring in some pros to read the full scripts and screen the videos one last time. After that, with your help, some of our filmmakers move on to a potential development or production deal.
