IM is a horror film disguised as a romantic comedy. Jane meets Scott online and when they decide to take their relationship into the real world, we see how dangerous dating can be when you don't truly know a person. Jane is a sociopath and by the time Scott realizes that she may not be the one, Jane has fallen in love with him. IM challenges the conventions of internet predators and how even the seemingly meek can be extremely threatening. A story of boy meets girl, boy loses girl, girl loses it, girl keeps boy in a box.
