A man embarks on a mission to find his biological parents; standing in the way is his boyhood idol.

Synopsis:

Confrontation with the law, in and out of jail, gratuitous street fights when teaming up with his boyhood idol has MARCUS HUGO heading down the wrong path. Forever indebted to his idol ZEEK, a manipulative thug who gets what he wants with a penchant for violence. Marcus, a spoiled college drop-out is ensnared by the lack of identity he suffers not knowing his birth parents. The biracial adopted son of politically prominent white parents, Marcus struggles to connect with his absentee adoptive father. A lifetime of resentment and disappointment ignites a heated altercation with his adoptive father, propelling Marcus’ mission to find his birth parents. Taking a night off from his obsessive searching Marcus heads out to party and finds love and more than he bargained for. A gruesome beating at a frat house leaves him for dead until rescued by an improbable figure. MAC, a carefree, alcoholic, uncouth neighbor nurses Marcus back to health. A magnetic connection is formed drawing Marcus to this stranger who’s been running from his own ghosts of the past. No one would ever expect this unlikely hero to lead Marcus to his destiny. With time running out, growing tension, and relentless pressure from all sides, Marcus is pushed to the edge. Just as Marcus uncovers his past, Zeek provokes a murder that alters all of their lives leading Marcus to his ultimate destination on 9th street.

Very compelling premise with a strong lead in to an exciting ending! This concept lends itself extremely well to a full-length feature. Best of luck!

Very interesting plot. I am intrigued and want to know what happens!! I am interested in the message to be delivered in watching the movie beginning to end. Being bi-racial myself, I think this would be a great discussion movie based on the ideals protrayed. WTG!! can't wait for more!

We liked your trailer! We hope you win so we can see the movie. Our favorite part was the fight scene with Zeke but our Mom said he was a bad guy. Alex (12) Andrew (9).
