Dark comedy about a producer having a meltdown who turns to crime to raise the money for her movie.
Joan is trying to make her 1st feature (a remake of Double Indemnity, in color with a happy ending). Unfortunately, after working in the industry for a number of years as a line producer – she doesn’t know the right people to raise money.
Between gigs, Joan is befriended by Jerry (a small time drug dealer). Jerry recognizes that Joan’s problem solving abilities could be useful to his client’s delicate situations. Her job is to solve their problems and in return they invest in her movie. Many comical situations ensue, as it seems karma seems to follow her. After putting up the money, the investors meet their much-deserved demise.
