A rocket scientist and his wife adjust to their sunset years in the sunshine state.

Synopsis:

When Jack MacLean and his wife Angela retire to Florida, a disastrous chain of events is set in motion where nature runs amok on this semitropical island, ex spouses - now married to one another - show up as their neighbors, and step-children descend to protect their inheritance.
Jack, the workaholic rocket-scientist, is reluctant to retire in Florida because of the heat, hurricanes, stereo-typical Florida drivers, and the state’s reputation as God’s waiting room.
Angela, the free spirit, hopes the hot Latin dancing lessons will inspire her husband to some passion as well as help them learn to work together.
In true engineer fashion, Jack tries to make a plan for his new life by making a list. Unfortunately, every endeavor ends in hilarious failures since Jack is accident-prone. While repairing the roof, Jack gets overcome on a windy day, by a ladder, a blue tarp and aggressive storks. They get banned from boating activities when the novice captain jeopardizes the pier and a yacht while docking. There's a comical bout with the couple dancing the Rumba, when Jack flings his wife into the refreshment table.
Partly to prove they’re not old, the couple lets their Cuban dance-instructor neighbors talk them into entering a Latin dance contest, thus prolonging their stay into hurricane season. Their cutthroat former spouses will be their chief rivals.
All comes to a head with an approaching hurricane and the highly anticipated Latin dance-off when the contest pits one alienated party against the other. The completion of the snowbird season will determine if they are over the hill as they spend their sunset years in the sunshine state.

This could be fun. We don't see enough romantic comedies featuring the older generation. Good luck!
