Gabriel's Curse

Filmmaker: Shane Free

Medium: Film

Genre: Thriller

Credits:

A local myth about a cursed society in the woods entices a group of college kids to seek out answers while discovering an unexpected truth.

Synopsis:

Little is known about "Gabriel's Curse," only that it effects males in their mid- twenties.

Some say that it can be traced back to the early 1800's, and others report that a genetic defect is to blame.

Legend has it that those born with "Gabriel's Curse" take on a monstrous
appearance and will harm anyone who comes too close to their lost world.

One story is confirmed. This so-called curse forced an entire family bloodline to flee the world of the living and find solace in their own community in the woods on the outskirts of town.

This is the story of the college students who decided to disprove the myth. They believed that this was merely a tale.... an urban legend.
As they search the wooded area, the area where the cursed once called home, they are convinced that nothing remains of the fabled world.

But what they didn't know was that they were being watched.... watched by the last of the cursed, who will stop at nothing to protect their only home.

Now, with their vehicle broken down, they must use the woods to fight to stay alive against the cursed creature that has been defending its home for hundreds of years.

The climax of the story reveals a diary found in the cave of the cursed, revealing our lead character comes from the same bloodline and may now suffer the same fate.

sounds decent, but I would say it does kinda sound like the hills have eyes, and the hills have eyes wasn't great so some might think if the hills have eyes wasn't great this might not be either.

perhaps you can leave out the part where they take refuge in the hills, and just mention that they were exiled.

Interesting trailer and it does grab you. The negative is, the images and premise plays to similar to "the hills have eyes".

Great use of images! I'm definitely curious about the origins of the curse and seeing what exactly it does to those with the defect.
